CHRISTIAN AID was well supported by a series of Friday LENT LUNCHES held in Penarth throughout Lent. A lunch of Bread and cheese, sometimes with butter and sometimes not, but always with an array of homemade soups draws people from across the churches to All Saints Church Hall. NOt only did they find LUNCH but also good company of old and new friends.

2009 raised more money for Christian Aid than any previous year and a total of £2,561 was sent to CHRISTIAN AID. In addition to this several hundred pouunds were taken onthe TRAIDCRAFT / FAIRTRADE stall, further supporting those in need.
The House to House collection raised £5000 (a little down on previous years) and Tesco kindly gave us a 2 day "slot" in August when £655 were collected. Add to these sums a further £830 from our annual one day street collection in October and we have a substantial sum. Thanks be to all those administrators and field workers loyal to the cause.
